Vitcas Heating Inhibitor: System Type, Dose and Preparation

Vitcas Central Heating Inhibitor for compatible heating systems

When preparing heating for autumn, the protective agent is selected according to the type of system and its current condition. Vitcas Central Heating Inhibitor provides the documented protection in compatible systems. Its purpose must be distinguished from removing existing deposits and from repairing a leaking system.

Check system compatibility

Central Heating Inhibitor is described for compatible fully indirect sealed or open-vented central heating systems. The documentation excludes systems with a single-feed Primatic cylinder. Determine the actual system type before selecting the product.

The data sheet covers the indicated metals, plastics, and installations with small diameter pipes. This information does not replace the identification of all used materials and equipment requirements. Record the product variant and the installation documentation to compare them before work.

The quantity depends on the water volume

The manufacturer provides a litre of the liquid version or one cartridge of concentrate for a system with a volume up to 100 litres. The mentioned approximately ten radiators is an example, not the only way to determine the dose. Different radiators and pipes contain varying amounts of water.

Check the volume and current instructions of the specific packaging. The protective product remains in the compatible system during use. Subsequent emptying or replenishment of the system should be taken into account in further assessment of its protection.

Separate the protection from previous cleaning

In the case of existing contamination, the instructions provide for appropriate preparation with a compatible cleaning agent before the inhibitor. Do not assign all cleaning, sealing, and heating regulation functions to a single product at the same time. The method of introducing the material must correspond to the installation and its condition.

Record the date, product variant, determined volume, and applied quantity. This record facilitates later handling without reproducing the dosage from memory. However, it does not independently define the percentage of energy savings; the performance of the heating system depends on the entire system.
